Cutting Your First Film is a hands-on editing masterclass where you take a real project from raw footage to a finished cut. From Monday to Friday, we work full-time hours, 10am to 6pm, as we edit Season 1’s Wherever the Wind Blows inside DaVinci Resolve.
You’ll learn how to bring footage into the software, organize it properly, build your first timeline, shape the story, refine performances, clean up audio and create pacing that feels right. A live feed will run all week so people can drop in and watch the film take shape in real time.
Special guests will stop by during the sessions to talk about film theory, editing choices and the deeper art of storytelling.
By the end, you won’t just understand editing. You’ll have cut a film.
