Scriptfest gives emerging directors the tools, support, and space to pitch, develop, and produce original short films. Every project builds real experience, strong reels, and forward momentum.
James Cameron, director of Terminator, Titanic, and Avatar, was born in Kapuskasing. Imagine if his first film had been produced here. That’s the kind of impact we are building. The next wave of visionary storytellers is rising right now.
The Vision
Scriptfest is developing stories from the North to build a sustainable film industry. Our long-term goal is to produce three feature films and one television series every year, created with Northerners in lead creative roles.
We are shaping a world-class filmmaking hub where local talent thrives and where top-tier artists from around the world are excited to come collaborate and create powerful cinema with us.
